There’s no doubt that modern technology comes along with so many hazards and ills. Just turn on your radio and you can tune in to any station you want from around the world. Or talk on your mobile, for instance – studies say that they have a very serious effect on your brain. They go as far enough as to say that they may even be the cause of brain tumour. Though some studies say that no risks are associated with the use of mobiles; there’s still no proof that it is 100% risk- free. Well, of course, nothingly exactly is.
Nuclear radiation from radioactive leftover elements is enough to change the characteristics of a species forever! There are still children being born in Japan, the only country to be struck by a nuclear bomb, who completely lack a limb or are born without a proper nose.
What we’re coming around to is that although modern technology has improved our lives, brought some spice to it, it is always accompanied by an adverse effect. Well, aren’t the above examples proof enough about the amount of electromagnetic radiations present in the air or rather the atmosphere? Who knows how much damage this has already caused to our brains and bodies?
Play video or computer games as an habitual past time and you may end up getting glasses or even poor grades in school. Take television as an asset and you end up being a nerd if you don’t control what you watch or even worse, a couch potato if it is everything that you watch!
We come to the inevitable conclusion that though one must take advantage of modern technology to ease one’s life, precaution and caution should also be taken at all times. And we should avoid driving ourselves to the extremities we may regret later.
